Here is the finished one!
It's done :) the drawing is finished I can't believe it. I'm really happy how it turned out. I also added something to the compass as I thought it looked not quite right.
The title is "Natural Instinct".
Check back next week and you'll be able to purchase a print, canvas or iPhone case with this artwork!
Anyhow,... enought talking here it comes!

It's nearly done...
After a day of power drawing I nearly finished it. All that is left is to ink the sky black so the stars really shine :) My hand is aching... I was drawing from 3pm until now. Time for a break. I shall show you the finished drawing tomorrow night.
As soon as it is finished you will be able to purchase prints, canvases and iPhone cases with this artwork. Totebags are coming soon too! :)
Thank you for looking!
Graciously yours.... <3

My Jerwood drawing so far...
So eventually I show you how my drawing for the Jerwood competition goes on so far. It's all about "back to the roots", the natural instinct of animals, orientation and nature influenced by my austrian upbringing.
I hope you like what you see and thanks for looking!

True Blood comic issue 105
Looking around in Forbidden Planet I stumbled across TRUE BLOOD comics and found some with a really great cover art. Volume 1 issue 105 and because I liked the cover so much I bought the coloured and the sketch version :) Online I also discovered volume 1 issue 103 which I find also really great but yet have to get.
The artwork is done by Joe Corroney and what I love most about his work is that the characters look so authentic to the actors in the series. I wasn't ever into comics but it's worth getting them alone for the cover art! Thank you Joe! :)

My logo and the amended sketches for Melissa
Finally I am in possession of a design suite CS5 and obviously I'm trying to learn Illustrator super fast. So I took my beautifully cut out leaf and vectorised it. The result looks very nice so I decided that I'll vectorise my whole typeface. It will take me a while but I'll post every letter once it's finished so you can see :) Below you can see the real thing and the drawing.
The other thing is that I sent the amended sketches to Mel, she liked it so I'll start drawing them on good paper now :) Very exiting!!
And here is it all for you to see:

Free download of Brian Wood's book and MUCH more!!!
Hey guys,
Look what I've discovered... http://blog.drawn.ca/ you can download a free copy of Brian Wood's book which contains sketches and generally random pieces he created the last years. I thought it is quite interesting and since it's a freebie don't be lazy and flip through it :)
Also I found out that Waterstones is on the hunt for an undiscovered illustrator to submit work for Michael Morpurgo's version of "Beauty and the Beast" --> http://www.waterstones.com/waterstonesweb/navigate.do?pPageID=1789 and if I can squeeze it in my schedule somehow and will try to submit my characters too.
Apart from that I'm due to get some work done for Jerwood, I'll get started with that next week. Besides that I'm working on my font project which soon will be available for purchase in my shop in the form of coasters. So you can get your letters!! I'll keep you up to date and will publish the first pieces soon so check back :)
In the meanwhile keep happy and hustling and bustling to realize your dreams!!!
xx
