Below you see a few drawings I did today, I have to say not all are presentable but a few I dare showing you ;) I liked the 1st you see below most as I really enjoyed the tonal mark making with a marker :D

Drawing for print
Today we had a drawing for print workshop. It's all about mark making really and should help us later when we actually go and print. I already had the chance to try different print techniques in my foundation apart from etching and screen print so I can't wait.

I'm working on Artemis...
Greek Godess of the Hunt and (wild) animals. I uploaded my sketch for you, it actually consists of 3 drawings which are on tracing paper. I don't know what it is that I prefer drawing on tracing paper, I just like how the paper feels and somehow it seems less precious to me and makes it easier to draw. Plus if you have several images it's so easy to overlay them and re-arrange them, I love it!
I'm obviously not done with that yet but by tonight you shall see more so check back :)

Todays output
I was working on one of my projects today. My topic is Greek Mythology and I made my version of Aphrodite as you can see below. There are not a lot of greek attributes so far I know. I guess I got a bit carried away drawing roses and doves :-/ Oh well... this is only my 1st sketch of this character and I know it'll change quite a bit until I reach the final image :)
I coloured it in photoshop just to practise a little as I don't do that normally so it's very basic colouring.
As you can see I coloured in my raw sketch without redrawing it as I'll only use it as a sample. I just applied a filter to get the line work stronger and that's it.
Since I have a tutorial next week you'll see more sketches over the next days.
I hope you'll enjoy it and I'm always grateful for constructive criticism :)

Catch up part 2
Hello my lovelies :)
As I said here is my little illustration story from the narrative & sequence workshop we had. We got 2 random pictures, one should serve as a beginning and one as the end image. It had to be finished in 1 day and we had to create 12 panels and make a story to combine these two images. Does that make sense? I hope, have a look...

Catch up part 1
Hello,
It's time for another update I know. Lazy me!
Well.... I started a BA for Illustration and so far it is really great!! I love it, the people are cool the city is great and we have interesting projects too! So I thought I'll show you a few pics I did so far.
For one of my projects I've chosen Hiroshige a Japanese print artist. In order to get into his style of drawing I started copying some of his work in watercolour. One of them you can see below, the rest follows in part 2 later this week.
Then I did two sketches just random really so there is not too much thought behind them. Though the one with the dragon and the dagger woman was inspired by the book series "A song of ice and fire" from George R. R. Martin. Last I did a watercolour painting again with the dagger woman, I really like this one. The colour and composition works quite well I think but judge for yourselves.
We also had a narrative and sequence workshop from yesterday to today and had to present the finished piece to the group today so I'll show you in part 2 what I did and tell you more about it.
